"Doctors had tried just about every anti-depressant on the market such as Lexapro, Wellbutrin etc. for my depression. None of them worked. I felt worse after taking them. "I have been on this product for 1 month now. I started with 2 capsules a day for the first week and then 1 capsule a day there after. I have never taken an anti-depressant but through a very tough time in my life it was recommended to just take the edge off to help me cope. I have a very sensitive system and 99.9% of the time will have some adverse side effect that is just ugly with chemicals and or herbs. Because of this I decided to see if there was a natural substance that I could take in its place. I did my research and there are many products but none that are the pure product. I can not take anything with soy and while the world is embracing soy as the new miracle food for everything; there are some of us who could die from it... So after only a month I have been able to let all the little things in life go; and I am sleeping again! I can now concentrate on getting through this very difficult time in my life and not sweat the small stuff. I will update this in a few months but for now I think this is something I will actually want to continue as the results have been a blessing."

"After 6 months of taking 200mg daily of 5-HTP, I am able to report how pleased I am with the results. In the past I have taken antidepressants which tend to have other side affects. 5-HTP, being an amino acid which boosts the brain's ability to produce its own seritonin, actually fixes the problem of low seritonin rather than masking it as do SSRI's. Jigsaw Health is a very reliable source and offers a great price on 5-HTP. On my recommendation friends and family are using it also and feel 5-HTP is very effective and affordable!"

"Excellent product! The only negative is that you don't offer the product in a vegetable capsule. I try to avoid gelatin capsules because of the excitotoxins and Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy risk. I would gladly pay more for the V-Caps."

"Long ago I learned that tryptophan could help me and then they took it off the market because of a bad batch made in Japan. Later 5-HTP became readily available. According to many researchers it is a more direct way to increase levels of serotonin because 5-HTP is only one biochemical step away. It can cause stomach cramping though if you take too much and it is OK to take with food. There are a lot of 5-HTP products out there that are not pure. Ours is extremely pure!"
